What Amenities Are Important to Home Buyers?

Here are the results of a recent survey of more than 1,000 people ages 25 to 65:

  • 64% say they prefer a move-in ready home
  • 51% say they want their next home to be larger than their current home
  • 29% say the kitchen is the most important feature in a home
  • 22% say the master bedroom is important
  • 18% say the living room is important

Here are some things that buyers are willing to give up in order to get certain amenities:

  • 41% are willing to give up a location near public transportation
  • 35% are willing to give up better schools and proximity to entertainment and shopping
